The OMC, the nerve center that manages Prosegur’s Security Operations Center
Our teams on the ground do not work in isolation; they’re connected at all times through Prosegur Security’s in-house POPS platform that provides two-way communication, support and assistance in the event of any emergency via the Operations Management Center.
An integral part of Prosegur's Security Operations Center (iSOC), the OMC provides key support to our teams on the ground, and is effectively the nerve center where field services are developed, implemented and monitored. In short a strategic pillar in defining the quality and application of our security operation standards.
The OMC team is made up of a large group of multidisciplinary professionals who offer support 24/7 to the more than 30,000 employees that provide services throughout Spain. Through internal quality parameters, continuous advice and technological innovation, the OMC is a qualitative leap for private security in our country.
Constantly evolving service...
The OMC was created more than a decade ago as a continuation of Prosegur control centers that provided support and managed surveillance in specific regions and cities in Spain, representing a qualitative step in the centralized management of Prosegur Security's surveillance operations, which has continued to evolve and develop with new projects, functions, capabilities and challenges.
The biggest project the OMC has undertaken since then has been Prosegur Security's Operational Platform, POPS, playing a key role in its deployment, user training and improvements.
Prosegur Security's OMC in Spain currently manages more than 6,500 locations with on-site services, issuing alerts, service requests, operational coverage or incident support. In the words of OMC Operations Manager Sonia Gibaja:
"We are an emergency room, the 911 of our operations, but in addition to having strong response protocols, we have a reinforced layer of analytics and intelligence that allows us to anticipate incidents and reinforce our services before they occur."
The biggest project the OMC has undertaken since then has been Prosegur Security's Operational Platform, POPS, playing a key role in its deployment, user training and improvements.
And Prosegur Security's Hybrid Security strategy and the development of iSOC will see more new projects underway in the coming months, such as the deployment of POPS to manage Big Data and AI, as well as the use mobility services tools, taking the nerve center of the company’s operations to the next level.
The OMC, central to Prosegur’s future
The OMC’s journey began in Spain with a strategy to integrate and centralize operations. Since then, it has been replicated in all 13 countries where Prosegur operates, making it a key part of our operations and differentiating us from our competitors in the private security sector.
Improving Prosegur’s ability to adapt to changing needs is built into the DNA of the OMC, which is why, year after year, our customers evaluate the service in the highest terms, while our teams report that it constantly improves their ability to meet very demanding professional standards.
