Prosegur joins Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council to drive positive impact through the power of procurement
Prosegur will engage in SPLC-led programs to support sustainability-focused and resilient procurement strategies.

MADRID, March 13, 2025 — Prosegur, a Spanish leader in private security, has joined the Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council (SPLC), a global community of professionals dedicated to generating positive impact through procurement. This partnership aims to design and implement sustainable procurement practices while strengthening Prosegur's commitment to ethical supply chain management.
Through this collaboration, Prosegur will participate in various SPLC programs to develop procurement strategies in support of a more sustainable and resilient business model. The company will also work alongside industry stakeholders—including buyers, suppliers, advocates, and experts—to advance the integration of sustainability criteria in procurement decisions that meet evolving customer demands and address investors and financial institutions’ requirements.
"Prosegur will have the opportunity to collaborate with leaders throughout the value chain to promote innovation in sustainable purchasing practices," states the company. "We understand the critical role procurement plays in building a sustainable future. Joining SPLC allows us to collaborate with like-minded organizations, innovate our supply chain strategies, and amplify our impact as we work to achieve sustainability goals."
Marc Heisterkamp, CEO of the SPLC, adds: "Prosegur's commitment to sustainable procurement will further strengthen the growing movement of organizations using procurement as a lever for positive change."
Technology as an ally
In support of these efforts, Prosegur has approved a new Sustainability Master Plan for 2024-2027 that includes initiatives to enhance positive impacts for workers throughout the value chain. A key component of this is the newly incorporated supply chain risk management feature in the GoSupply platform. This will enable the creation of improvement plans within supplier profiles, allowing for efficient planning and monitoring of actions suppliers must take to meet sustainable purchasing standards and maintain their status as active Prosegur suppliers.
The goal extends beyond assessing supplier operational risks to evaluating their broader social impact. Prosegur's Corporate Purchasing Department, positioned within the Financial Department, is equipped with the human, technological, and material resources to ensure purchasing and procurement processes are conducted responsibly, sustainably and consistently across all business units.
