Prosegur enters large-event security sector in Colombia
Prosegur Security's entry into Colombia in the events business area is part of its strategy to expand this activity in the rest of Latin America, building on its extensive experience in Spain
Madrid, 30 January 2025.- Prosegur, a leading Spanish company in security solutions, has been awarded the contract to provide surveillance services for Bogota’s El Campín Cultural and Sports Centre, the sports stadium in Colombia. The contract, which will be provided by Prosegur Security, is Prosegur's first in Colombia in this sector.
El Campín is undergoing refurbishment that will include a retractable roof on the soccer stadium itself, along with an expansion of its capacity to 50,000 spectators. A cultural and leisure complex is also being built that will include a new 2,500 seat auditorium for the prestigious Bogota Philharmonic Orchestra.
Prosegur’s role in providing security for this important cultural and sports center will include round-clock surveillance services provided by up to 300 guards for all events. In addition, Prosegur's staff will be equipped with state-of-the-art surveillance technology and equipment, connected to the company's Intelligent Security Operations Centre (iSOC) located in Bogota.
