Strong international growth in 2024 boosts Prosegur Alarms sales by 33.4%
The business unit has recorded revenue of €221 million, and has close to half a million connections in the eight countries where it operates, not counting Movistar Prosegur Alarms in Spain

Madrid, 19 March 2025.- Prosegur Alarms saw extraordinary turnover growth in 2024, recording revenue of €221 million, a 33.4% year-on-year increase. The company’s alarm division, which has a 50/50 joint venture with Telefónica in Spain through Movistar Prosegur Alarms (MPA), which is not consolidated in its accounts, owes this significant growth to its performance in its eight-country market of Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, South Africa and Uruguay.
The company continues to increase profitability while taking into account the effects of inflation and exchange rate fluctuations. Its customer base, including Movistar Prosegur Alarms, stood at more than 960,000 connections at the end of 2024, which represents a total increase of 10.5% in its customer base compared to 2023, of which around 550,000 correspond to MPA alone in Spain.
The Alarms division has managed to underpin the improvement of its indicators by deepening the path of sustainable growth through a strategy focused on the profitability of contracts. Prosegur Alarms expects to maintain an annual customer base expansion of 10%, as well as to continue increasing its market share in the countries where it has a presence. Part of these results are explained by the incorporation of sales through new marketing channels, which have multiplied volume sevenfold in 2024. In addition, its network of distributors, external collaborators and commercial alliances in all the countries where it operates during the 2024 financial year were strengthened.
Javier Cabrerizo, the CEO of Prosegur Alarms, said: "Home security has evolved from being a simple barrier to a comprehensive service that, thanks to technology and innovation, provides control and peace of mind by adapting to the needs of today's world. These results reflect the company's commitment to innovative solutions and the highest quality customer service, with the firm objective of continuing in the same line during 2025."
“This growth has been achieved at the same time as a significant improvement in customer satisfaction, who have particularly valued the video surveillance and intelligent recognition technology inherent in Prosegur Alarms systems. In addition, in the coming months we plan to add new capabilities thanks to the use of Artificial Intelligence,” Cabrerizo states.
