Focused on us growth and latam consolidation, Cipher improves its xMDR cybersecurity platform’s generative AI

Madrid, February 6, 2025 - Cipher, the cybersecurity division of the Prosegur Group, has improved the capabilities of its xMDR cybersecurity services platform by incorporating cutting-edge technologies based on big data, at the same time as updating its AI model to improve action processes against cyber threats.

The update allows Cipher to provide its customers with a more robust, efficient and user-friendly cybersecurity platform that optimizes threat detection and analysis and response, applying advanced technology and a user-centric approach to improve the quality of information and streamline service management. These innovations reinforce the company’s commitment to creating solutions that simplify and strengthen its clients’ digital security in an increasingly complex environment.

Explaining the importance of these latest improvements, Carlos A. Fernández, Senior VP Global at Cipher xMDR, noted: “In a context where cyberattacks are becoming more sophisticated and frequent, the update of xMDR is crucial to providing our customers with greater breadth, agility and precision in the detection of threats, such as those in supply chains. At Cipher, we are committed to constant innovation so as to provide the tools to help our customers stay one step ahead of cybercriminals.”

A total overhaul for faster and more effective management of cyber threats

The xMDR update includes a completely revamped interface and improvements to the platform's front-end and back-end architecture, facilitating more intuitive and faster management of investigations and workflows. In addition, the capabilities for viewing key information have been optimized, such as attack tracking using Mitre Attack Flow and the display of relational graphs, along with other updates to provide users with greater detail and clarity.

Among the main improvements to the Cipher platform are increased process precision and efficiency through the updating of the AI model so as to deepen the profiling of adversaries and detection capabilities. The portal's assets are managed as complete entities, especially in identity information, using new data flows to enhance response capabilities. The update stands out for its back-end approach to microservices and endpoints, optimizing its security, resilience and scalability in the cloud. This transformation allows processes to be parallelized, along with improved control, audit and registration mechanisms, both internally and in the management of portal information.

In addition, numerous detection engines have been incorporated with the aim of continuing to cover customers’ existing technologies, facilitating simple connections through APIs, all while maintaining centralization and security with minimal privileged access.

Finally, Cipher customers receive a  better service overall through improved hunting capabilities: the xMDR update introduces new service classifications and detection rules, expanding their quantity and quality, as well as the number of languages supported by the platform.
